The original recipe for Anzac biscuits was developed out of both love and ingenuity; they were first made during World War 1 by mothers, wives and sweethearts at home in Australia and New Zealand as a biscuit that could withstand long transport times to troops fighting overseas. Nowadays they remind us of the important battles fought by Australian and New Zealand soldiers in both World Wars, allowing the legend and legacy of the Anzac spirit to be passed on to new generations.

UNIBIC Anzac biscuits are an icon in Australia, and we are proud to be the only RSL-endorsed producer of these much-loved biscuits. Launched in 1999, our formula was developed from the most popular Anzac recipe in Australia, as determined by a competition run by Women’s Weekly more than 40 years ago.
